Guest Count

Specification:

DSR (Daily Sales report), Brad and McKenzie questioned the accuracy of a formula field on a newly created DSR report. There suspicion was that the integer field included Cancellation insurance.

Discovery:

Ordinarily booknow customers use asset booking product to track the number of people who have booked or taken part in an activity. However we noticed that outside of the usual episode bookings (which are created as asset booking products), there were a number of products that were entitled “extra person” or “Add on Person” or similar. These were created as EPOS items and don’t track against inventory. With this in mind we created the following formula field to track Guest Count.

Following the creation of this field we were able to easily identify some other products that may or may not need inclusion:
