Translations and Language Selection can be used to add multiple languages to a site, apply different languages to different sites or simply to customise the field labels and text on Lightning Checkout.

When set up with more than one language, the language dropdown will show automatically. With only one tailored language, the dropdown will not show.

Setting Up Translation Workbench

In Salesforce, go to Setup > Translation Workbench > Translation Language Settings.

Click Add

Select the Language from the dropdown

Add all users from the Available List and Add them to Selected List. Click Save and repeat the process for each language you want to use

Checkout Page Fields

All of the field labels on the Checkout page are translatable. In Salesforce, go to Setup > Custom Labels.

Optional Account Fields:

The account fields presented on the checkout page can be added to through the Account object’s Field Sets under the Guest Checkout Fields options (Route: Setup > Object Manager > Account > Field Sets > Guest Checkout Fields). The following fields can be added to the page and translated:

*Marketing Checkbox will add the following checkbox to the Checkout page and will allow users to be added to the email marketing list.

** Tax Reference field is only relevant for users of Masterway in Portugal. If a site has Masterway switched on, the Tax Reference field will automatically present and allow personal NIF numbers to be added.
