Executive Summary – BookNow Software Release Update
This release marks a significant milestone with the general release of our new online booking experience, Lightning Guest Booking, following a successful beta phase. This streamlined and modernised journey now includes several enhancements based on user feedback to improve both usability and flexibility.
Upgrade: Lightning Guest Booking: Hidden Price & Hidden Fees
A new setting has been added at site level called Slot Price Configuration with three options:
Upgrade: Lightning Guest Booking: Switch Sites from All Products page
For multi-site customers, it is now possible to allow end users to switch between sites from the All Products page.
Upgrade: Command: Tax Jurisdiction: Tax Visible to Three Decimal Places
To accommodate certain jurisdictions’ implementation of tax charged to three decimal places, Command has been updated to present all three decimal places entered. Previously the tax was presented to two decimal places, although the tax was charged correctly.
Upgrade: Command: Tax Jurisdiction: Admin Fee and Admin Fee Tax Added
An Admin Fee field has been added to Tax Jurisdiction in Command so that admin fee can be charged to products with the relevant tax category applied. Although no tax is currently charged on Admin Fees, a tax field has been added as a future proofing measure. IMPORTANT NOTE: This functionality can only be used on Lightning Guest Booking, not the legacy online booking journeys MAF or Kiosk.
Update: Lightning Guest Booking: Additional Items Apply Site Price Book
Additional items now take the site price for the site of the online booking instead of the global price for the product.
Update: Lightning Guest Booking: All UX and UI Items Identified in Beta
Many items have been improved through the beta testing process that have been updated to provide a better end user experience for general release.
Upgrade: EPOS: Cash Up: Custom Payment Types on Cash Up
